Alps Monogatari Watashi no Annetto

Annette and Lucien, who live in a remote village in Switzerland, were the best of friends until Lucien injured Annette's younger brother, Danny. She came to resent Lucien, and he repeatedly tries to get Annette to forgive him, but is unable to succeed. One day, Lucien meets Old Peguin, who lives alone deep in the mountains. Encouraged by the former sinner trying to make amends, Lucien is inspired to carve a beautiful wooden horse. One winter day, Annette sprains her leg and is unable to move. As she is about to freeze to death, Lucien passes by and saves her life. The two former friends make amends and their relationship is restored. Some time later, Lucien learns that a great doctor is staying at an inn across the mountains, and makes plans to meet him so that Danny's leg can be fixed.
